There are 3 major airports in Berlin, which handles nearly 15 million passengers annually.

Berlin-Tegel Airport (TXL)-

It is the largest German airport and is situated 8 km northwest of Berlin city center.
Main Features:
¢ This airport alone handles nearly 10 million passengers per annum.
¢ It receives Nearly 400 flights per day from various cities of Europe, US, Asia.
¢ Various car parks are located around the terminal.
¢ Banking with ATM facilities is available in the main hall; post office and super market are also available for convenience of customers. For Leisure restaurants, cafes, casinos are located nearby.

Berlin Tempelhof International Airport (THF) -

It is the Smallest of the three airports serving German capital city and is situated only 6 km from the city center.

Main Features:
¢ People transit is about 4.5 lakhs annually.
¢ It only serves domestic flights.
¢ For short term and long-term car parking, there are different charges.
¢ Buses and taxis are available outside terminals for transfer to different parts of city.
¢ Counter for currency exchange and ATM services are available at airport.

Berlin Schoenefeld International Airport (SXF)-

It is located 18kms. South of city center.This airport is not yet complete and will be completed by 2011.

Main Features:
¢ It handles nearly 2 million passengers per annum
¢ There are three terminals A, B and C at the airport.
¢ A large space is reserved car parking.
¢ Express trains, two bus lines, metered taxis serve the airport.
¢ Banks, currency exchange sections, ATMs, shopping complex, food outlets, refreshments, and bars are all present in terminal A of airport.
