Birmingham International Airport
The airport is located 13 km (8miles)
southeast of Birmingham.Birmingham International Airport currently
offers 87 daily departures to 28 cities nonstop and 35 cities direct.
On May 31, 1931, The Birmingham Airport opened with pomp, ceremony
and the greatest air show that the city had ever seen. There are
2 terminals on the Airport.The airfield is capable of handling all
aircraft types. The main runway is 12,002 feet long.[2] The secondary
runway is 7,100 feet long. A Category II instrument landing system
allows operations in visibility as low as a quarter mile.

Continental Airlines, U.S. Airways, Delta Airlines, Express Jet
Airlines, United Airlines, and more.
ATMs and Bureaux de Change are available
in both terminals.There are prayer rooms in both terminals.There
are medical centres in both terminals. Telephones are located throughout
the airport.
Fax facilities are available in the Departure
LoungeAir Space provide meeting rooms for 40 to 50 people and flipcharts
and overhead projectors are available. Business Booths are situated
in the Departure Lounge in Terminal 1.
