PARIS

Paris, the capital city of France, is one of the most beautiful and romantic cities of the world. Situated on River Seine, in northern part of France, Paris is also called 'The city of lights', which it owes due to its fame as a centre of education and ideas and its early adoption of street-lighting. With a population of over 12 million, the city is one of the most populated cities of Europe and is world's leading business and cultural centers. Major Attractions

The most famous landmarks to be visited in Paris are the twelfth century cathedral Notre Dame de Paris, the nineteenth century Eiffel Tower, and the Napoleonic Arc de Triomphe.

Eiffeil Tower

The majestic structure called Eiffel Tower was constructed by Gustave Eiffel for the 1889 Universal Exposition, is now an enduring symbol of Paris. It is visible from many parts of the city like the Tour Montparnasse skyscraper and the Basilica of the Sacré Cœur.

Arc de Triomphe

Arc de Triomphe, a famous monument in Paris, standing in the centre of the Place Charles de Gaulle, at the western end of the Champs-Élysées. The arch salutes those who fought for France, particularly during the Napoleonic Wars, and now also includes the tomb of the Unknown Soldier.

Notre Dame de Paris

Notre Dame de Paris, known as Notre Dame in English, is a Gothic cathedral on the eastern half of the Île de la Cité in Paris. It is still used as a Roman Catholic cathedral and is the seat of the Archbishop of Paris. It is one of the finest examples of French Gothic architecture.

Other places which generally attract tourists include Louvre Museum, Disney Land Resort, Luxemburg gardens, and many more.
